Terms & Conditions

1.Qualitative and Collaborative Care

Where possible our professional advice is evidence-based and supported by clinical experience. We hope that you will make your best effort to follow our recommendations. If you are not sure about any aspect of the care you are receiving, you are more than welcome to discuss your concerns with your treating physiotherapist and/or admin staff . We are very keen to improve your treatment in any way we can. Any feedback or constructive complaints are welcome in order for us to know how to improve!

2. Late Cancellation and No-shows

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy (waived if there are extraordinary or special circumstances) in place to respect both our practitioners' time and provide the opportunity for patients on a waiting list to be seen in your place if you cannot attend your appointment. If you cancel within 24hrs of your appointment, you may be liable to pay a cancellation fee.

3. Treatment Consent

By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you are providing your treating physiotherapist the consent to perform all appropriate and necessary examinations and treatment in accordance with their professional training and understanding of your injury. If you are unable to see your chosen therapist, and are booked with another practitioner in the interim of your preferred practitioner being unavailable or by other circumstances, you are consenting to the secondary physiotherapist accessing your previous treatment notes. This is to optimise 'seamless continuity' of your rehabilitation.

Please be advised that at any given point, you are entitled to discuss with your therapist the nature and purpose of your care and any treatment you will receive, if it has not already been made clear to you. Under this umbrella includes the associated risks with the treatment you will receive. Please be assured that safety will always be the number one priority here at Potts Point Physio, and as first-line practitioners we are responsible for identifying any adverse risks and treatments that would be unsafe for you, and if physiotherapy is unsuitable for your condition at hand.

4. Release and Obtainment of Information

4.1. In accordance with your case, cross-communication between your physiotherapist and other multi-disciplinary practitioners/case managers/rehabilitation consultants/other physiotherapists in the clinic/employers may be necessary as part of your care or required by law.

4.2. In agreeing with these Terms & Conditions, you are providing us the permission for the appropriate and necessary communications to take place which may include release of information regarding your condition and treatment.

5. Privacy Policy Summary

5.1 As part of our code of conduct, we are committed to respecting your dignity and privacy. Your medical information will only ever be disclosed as required by law or where your consent has been obtained and communicated.

5.2 Information obtained during your consultations are legally required to be noted down and also serve as a means of documentation to track your rehabilitation progress.
